My fear is that one day most nature will be man-made. Copies already infiltrate our daily lives; thus, we find faux rock, dress fake Christmas trees, walk on synthetic grass, use chemically treated recomposed wood and ski on snow that doesn’t melt! This body of work focuses on nature and its mimicry. Using composite materials, I construct pieces that only upon slow and close inspection will the spectators realize that the materials are foreign to nature and that they have been tricked.
